During the St-Honoré festivities, you will witness the most momentous gathering of kite buggiers in Canada on asphalt runways.

Buggy amateurs meet annually during the “St-Honore in the Wind Festival² to attend the largest gathering of kite buggyers in Canada.  Benefiting from the paved surfaces of the airport in St- Honore, Mans Buggy racers take it to heart and face off in a friendly 3 day competition.

In addition to the buggy buzz of St-Honore, three events are being organized to take place in Longue Rive on the North Coast for May, July and September.  The “Mans Buggies² with wind traction powered engines, race along 4 Km long beaches.  The exits at Longue River are characterized by fun camping activities where the spirit of camaraderie is always alive.  This friendly competition lasts for 3 days. In 2010 the event will take place from June 17th to 20th.

Between these more "organized" events, the buggy enthusiasts occasionally gather for buggy trips to the Bay Ha Ha! on the beach at low tide. From mid-August to mid-November the beaches of Lake St-Jean, St-Gedeon sector, offer large areas of sand where everyone can dip their wheels. Other grassy practice areas are used but their locations are monitored and use is restricted. Most of these last minute gatherings are organized by using Club Air Lib member e-mail lists.
